It is used to flavor grilled foods such as fish and meat, as well as vegetable stews. The mixture can be added to foods before or during cooking or mixed with cooking oil prior to cooking so as to infuse the flavor into the cooked food. (Try it with sautéed or roasted fresh asparagus). They are rarely added after cooking is complete.
This is a fairly new blend for the French, it made its appearance in 1970. We can thank none other than the iconic Julia Child for making it popular in our kitchens.
Our blend does not overpower itself with too much lavender.
